In both Ronald’s and Sarah’s in-boxes, there would be notifications of training, sent by MacDonald in personnel. The following day at 10 am, Sarah was to meet her senpai at his cubicle for a shadowing mission; to Ronald, the job seems straightforward enough, and a good chance to see his kohai, since both of them have been so busy lately with work that their only chance to talk has been in passing in the corridors of work.
On the day of training, he waits at his cubicle, looking over any updated information in his assignment book, making sure he’s committed all details to short-term memory.
Upon receiving the notifications, Sarah quickly finished up the last of her paperwork, handing it to Mr Spears and heading back to her apartment. The task didn’t seem complicated, but it was still one of her first proper missions, so she thought it’d be a good idea to go home and rest up.
Soon enough, it was the next day. The young reaper glanced at her watch to check that she was on time (which she was) and made her way to Ronald’s cubicle, where she saw him standing waiting. “Morning!” she called out as she walked over to him.
Ronald was humming to himself as he heard his kohai approach, lifting his head and grinning at her at her bright greeting. “Hey, Sar, I hope you were able to get some sleep, we’ve gotta big day ahead of us.”
Clapping his hand on her shoulder, he offers her the assignment book they will be using that day. “Here, have a look at this and let me know if y’ have any questions. It’s all pretty straightforward, I think.”
